Payment Lock Scheme
- The Payment Lock Scheme (“Scheme”) is being offered to assist K-Electric Limited’s (“KE”) consumers with bill budgeting. KE’s customers applying for this Scheme (“Applicants”) shall be provided with a fixed amount bill based on their average usage over a period of twelve (12) months (“Payment Locked Bill”).
- The Payment Locked Bill will be calculated upon the Applicant’s past twelve (12) months amount billed grossed up by 15% to account for FCA, QTA and any other charges/taxes that may be applied during the year.
- The first Payment Lock Bill will be issued from the following month after registration.
- The Scheme is only valid for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of registration by the Applicant (“Term”).
- The scheme is designed only to facilitate timely payments through fixed amounts on average basis (as mentioned above) rest of the billing terms & conditions will remain same.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Scheme, Applicants must satisfy the following criteria:
- Applicants must fall under the following category of consumers:
- (i) Residential;
- (ii) Commercial;
- (iii) Small Industrial.
Applicants must fall within the domain of the following IBCS:
- Clifton
- Gulshan
- Nazimabad
- KIMZ
- Tipu Sultan
- Bahadurabad
- Malir
- Surjani
- Orangi II
- Johar II
- Baldia
- N. Nazimabad
- Applicants must have the following stubs per year:
- Applicants must:
- (i) not be enrolled in any other KE facility (including but not limited to recovery schemes, advance bills or any other similar schemes);
- (ii) not be a protected customer;
- (iii) be on KE’s billing panel prior to June 2023.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By subscribing to this Scheme, I accept, acknowledge and agree to abide by all the below terms and conditions (including any amendments made thereto by KE from time to time) and shall be deemed to have read, understood, and unconditionally accepted the same.
- That the documents provided by me, in connection with this Scheme are valid, true and correct in all material respects and, in the event that any details mentioned herein, or documents provided with my application changes at a later stage, I shall promptly inform KE of the same along provision of any relevant documents thereto.
- Without prejudice to any other provisions in this T&C, if any documentation or information uploaded as part of the authorization process is inaccurate or misleading in any way, KE reserves the right to immediately withdraw any approvals and/or terminate my Payment Lock Billing account.
- I permit KE to utilize my personal information provided under this Scheme, for its internal business purposes and allow KE to process, share and transfer the same with any authority/company/third party duly authorized by KE.
- I accept the calculation and amount provided by KE of the Payment Locked Bill and undertake to pay the same timely on or before the prescribed due date provided therein by KE.
- I acknowledge that KE will conduct a quarterly review of my Payment Locked Bill and, any change in my consumption pattern or an increase in the tariff, will be incorporated into my subsequent monthly payment amounts. If my consumption is as per the budgeted amount, my Payment Locked Bill for the next quarter will remain unchanged.
- I acknowledge that the payment lock scheme would be operational for 10 months after registration date, with the last 2 months of the year adjusted at actualized consumption to account for any surplus/short collection.
- I agree that if I have any outstanding dues at the time of registration for the scheme, such dues will be divided into 12 months and per month payment will be capped at a maximum of Rs. 5,000/- (Pak Rupees Five Thousand).
- I confirm that I am not benefiting from any other scheme, plan, promotion, or offer that is currently or may be introduced by KE.
- I agree that KE may terminate the Scheme in case of two (2) consecutive defaults of the Payment Locked Bill. In such an event, I will have to settle the entire actual bill in the subsequent months, including any adjustments of over/under payment from the previous Payment Locked Bill(s).
- I shall not indulge in any dishonest, fraudulent, or malicious activity against KE. If I am found engaged in any illegal abstraction and/or suspected of fraudulent activity or are in violation of these terms and conditions, my registration will be cancelled, and I will have to pay the entire bill.
- I agree and acknowledge that KE reserves the right to terminate, alter, amend, supplement or modify the Scheme or any term and condition herein for any reasons without prior intimation.
- I agree and acknowledge that KE reserves the right to amend, revoke and/or cancel this Scheme if it is required to do so, at any time, by any applicable statutory or regulatory authority.
- This is a limited period offer and KE reserves the right to amend/modify/cancel/withdraw this Scheme and/or the terms and conditions applicable at any time without any prior notice.
- The Applicant may terminate its subscription to the Scheme at any time by written notification to the concerned IBC and will resume getting their regular bills as before. However, any outstanding payment under the Scheme shall be adjusted in the next bill accordingly.
Acceptance
All the terms and conditions in this Contract are hereby accepted.
