Rehabilitation charges refer to the expenses for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading the common distribution system, which may include replacing deteriorated poles, reinforcing weak spans, installing underground cables, shifting equipment, and rehabilitating existing substations, cables, conductors, and switches. Rehabilitation charges for different categories of new connections shall now be recovered as per Clause 2.6 of revised NEPRA CSM 2021 and are applicable to both Non-Industrial and Industrial Cases. The applicability thresholds of these charges vary for different categories of connections. Rehabilitation Charges are applicable where connection is provided from a common 11 kV feeder to a maximum load of 2.5MW. In the case of Industry category, Rehabilitation Charges can be recovered as per below mentioned table prescribed by NEPRA where connection is given from common 11 KV feeder up to 1000 KW of load. In other category cases rehabilitation charges shall be as per actual cost (if any) incurred for upgradation of system for provision of connection from Common Distribution System. Rehabilitation scope shall be determined after joint survey by New Connection and Operations technical team. Scheme drawings and technical feasibility shall be vetted by the planning and Engineering department.
| Description | Rate per KW |
|---|---|
| 15KW-40KW | 250 |
| 41KW-100KW | 400 |
| 101KW-500KW | 1200 |
| 501KW-1000KW | 3000 |
Feeder Sharing Charges are charges incurred for installation of 11kv feeder proportionate to load subject to availability of capacity/load in the distribution feeder/ grouping of feeders. Feeder sharing charges are applicable only in the case of Commercial (A2C)/General Services(A3G) Category for load above 2.5 MW up to 05 MW as per actual cost of feeder proportionate to load.
PMT/PMU sharing Charges are charges proportionate to load subject to availability of capacity/load in the distribution transformer.
The starting thresholds of PMT sharing cost have been revised based on changes prescribed by NEPRA in the revised CSM 2021 and now PMT sharing cost will be triggered from the following thresholds for different categories of new connections as defined in Load Category Matrix, summary of which is as below.
| PMT Sharing Cost Starting Threshold: | |
|---|---|
| Category | As per CSM 2021 |
| Residential / Individual House | 20 kW to 100 kW |
| Commercial | 15 kW to 100 kW |
| General Services | 15 kW to 100 kW |
| Multi-Stories / Commercial Plaza / High Rise Buildings |
15 kW to 1 MW |
| Housing Society / Scheme | Not Applicable |
| Industry | 08 kW to 25 kW |
| One-Point Supply / Bulk Supply | Up to 200 kW |
GST: Total Cost is inclusive of General Sales Tax (GST). GST rate shall be as per FBR instructions.
*Please be informed an additional 3% GST will be added if NTN is not available.
Grid Sharing Charges:Grid Sharing and Transmission Line Charges and Cost of Land have been introduced in the revised CSM 2021 for different categories of new connections.
